I have read lots of questions from Pokemon Go players that their game doesn’t load any PokeStops and Gyms nearby. Today, I am going to give you some easy steps to fix these known issues and enjoy the game again!
Pokemon Go doesn’t load PokeStops and Gyms
If you can’t see any PokeStops and Gyms on the map screen, but the system still can track your current location, this should be the known slow-loading data issue.
First, I suggest you try to use another internet connection first. If your game runs well with the new connection, your current connection is not working well with Pokemon Go. You should switch to another one If you want to enjoy the game, or, use a VPN on your phone.
If it still doesn’t work with the other connection, try to follow these steps. If any step doesn’t work for you, please move to the next one! Also, this game is not guaranteed running on tablets so just don’t expect too much If you are using tablets to play the game.
- Try to reinstall the game. Sounds stupid but this is the most useful trick in lots of situations, especially on Android. If you are running Pokemon Go downloaded from unofficial sources, remove it and download the official one from Google Play Store. Also, after reinstalling, don’t forget to reset your phone!
- Switch to another phone. If your game runs well on the other phone, try to factory reset your device. If you can’t borrow a phone from anyone, you can try to play Pokemon Go on your PC!
If your Trainer is still low level, consider using another account that hosted by Pokémon Trainer Club. At this time, there is no way to switch a Pokemon Go account from Google to PTC or vice-versa so I only recommend doing this If you have nothing to lose.
