Okay guys, seems like lots of Pokemon Go players are looking for the candy requirement to evolve Pokemon. I know that this is a pretty small topic but I still want to post it in a specific page so people can find it easier!
Pokemon Go Candy
You can easily get Pokemon Go Candy by capturing wild Pokemon and hatching Eggs.
Once you have enough Candy, you can use them to increase your Pokemon Combat Points (CP) and Hit Points (HP) in order to make them stronger, permanently.
Candy can be only used for its own specific Pokemon Evolution family.
For example, You can get Pikachu Candy by hatching and catching any Pokemon in Pikachu’s evolution line, which are Pichu, Pikachu and Raichu. And Pikachu Candy can be only used to evolve Pichu, Pikachu and Raichu. Just like that, you will need Bulbasaur Candy to power up Bulbasaur, Ivysaur and Venusaur.
You can easily see how many Candy you need to power up a specific Pokemon by following these simple steps:
- Go to the Main Menu via the Map View.
- Touch the Pokemon menu.
- Select a specific Pokemon.
- The amount of Candy needed will be displayed like in the screenshot above. For example, I need 36 more Candy to evolve my Magnemite.
Tip: You can get free Candy by transferring Pokemon to the Profressor, instead of releasing them!
